Three Easy Ways To Save When Doing Laundry by EVAN NASSERI

Washing the laundry is task that everyone must do, it is usually a weekly chore but what a lot of people do not realize is that washing clothes costs money. Since it is such a mundane task a lot of people do not think about ways to save or how they can spend less money on doing laundry. The fact is that there are a lot of ways to save a few pennies or even dollars when it comes to washing clothes. In this article I will share a few of my favorite tips. I have used these tips for over a year and it is amazing at how much you can actually save, the trick is to not spend it on other things though.

Tip 1 use Laundry Detergent Coupons

This is my favorite way to save because it helps me save money right away. I always look online for some printable tide coupons before I head to the store. I can usually find some new ones each month and this helps me save the most. Another good way to save is to buy the items when they are on sale, I find that Tide detergent usually comes on sale every few months. I check the flyers every week to see if there is a sale and if there is I bring my coupons with me to save even more!

Tip 2 wear your clothes more than once before washing

The more laundry you create the more laundry you have to wash. Some people wear new Pajama pants every day and new pants and sweaters every day. The thing is that unless your clothes stink, or are dirty you don’t really need to wash them. I usually re-hang my pants, shorts and sweaters so I can wear them again. I always check to make sure they don’t stink but I can usually get 3 days out of each sweater and pair of jeans before I was them.

Tip 3 save energy

Saving energy is a good way to save money and also help save the environment. There are a few ways that you can do both. The first way is to make sure you always do a full load of laundry, why do 4 loads when you could just do 2. Another great tip is to hang some of your clothes to dry. After I do a load I always sort through and find the clothes that are almost dry as well and hang them up then I put the rest in the dryer but I don’t start it. I then to another load of laundry and repeat, that way I do 2 loads of laundry but only run the dryer once. This helps me save a lot of energy and saves on my electricity bill. The last tip for saving energy is to wash your clothes in cold water, this one helps keep your clothes bright and saves you money on your hot water heater.

I hope that these tips have helped you save some money, remember to search for some laundry detergent coupons before your next trip to the store.
